Cerno Cookie Policy
Last updated: 28 July 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how CERNO GROUP LTD ("Cerno", "we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on the Cerno website at cerno.group and comparable technologies in the Cerno app. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. What are cookies and similar technologies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include pixels, local storage, and — in our app — software development kits (SDKs) and device identifiers that do comparable things. We refer to all of these as "cookies" in this policy.
They let a service remember your actions and preferences, keep you logged in, keep the Service secure, and understand how the Service is used.
2. Your choices and consent
We only use non-essential cookies with your consent. When you first visit our website, you will see a cookie banner that lets you accept all, reject all, or choose which categories to allow. Rejecting is as easy as accepting.
Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent because the Service cannot work without them — but we still tell you about them below.
You can change or withdraw your choices at any time by clicking the "Cookie settings" link in our website footer, or by clearing cookies in your browser. In the app, you can manage analytics/diagnostic permissions in your device or app settings.
If you are under 18, we keep non-essential tracking to a minimum and never use cookies to build advertising profiles or to serve behavioural advertising.
3. The categories of cookies we use
Strictly necessary (always on). These make the Service work — for example, keeping you signed in, remembering items during checkout, load-balancing, and security. Without them the Service would not function.
Functional (with consent). These remember your preferences (such as language or settings) to improve your experience.
Analytics / performance (with consent, unless configured as measurement-only). These help us understand how the Service is used so we can improve it. Where we use analytics, we use a privacy-friendly analytics tool configured to avoid unnecessary personal data and not used for advertising. Where UK law permits certain low-risk, measurement-only analytics with an opt-out rather than opt-in, we will make that opt-out clearly available.
Advertising / targeting. We do not use advertising or targeting cookies. We do not run behavioural advertising, and we never do so for users under 18.
4. Cookie table
The exact cookies depend on the tools active across the Service at any time. The table below describes the categories you can expect.
| Name | Provider | Category | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Session / authentication cookie | Cerno / Supabase (first-party) | Strictly necessary | Keeps you signed in and maintains your session | Session |
| Security / CSRF cookie | Cerno (first-party) | Strictly necessary | Protects against cross-site request forgery | Session |
| Cookie-consent cookie | Cerno (first-party) | Strictly necessary | Remembers your cookie choices | 6 months |
| Payment / fraud-prevention cookies | Stripe | Strictly necessary | Secure payment and fraud prevention | Per provider |
| Analytics cookie | Privacy-friendly analytics provider (where used) | Analytics | Aggregate, non-advertising usage measurement | Per provider |
5. Third-party cookies
Some cookies are set by our service providers (for example, Stripe for secure payments and fraud prevention, and our analytics provider). These providers process the information under their own privacy terms as well as our contract with them. See our Privacy Policy, section 7, for who these providers are.
6. Changes
We may update this Cookie Policy as our tools change. The "Last updated" date shows the current version. Significant changes to how we use non-essential cookies will be reflected in our cookie banner so you can review your choices.
